 EA Royalty Reporting

Agencies currently supported by the EA Royalty Reporting program

With Internet radio gaining popularity, the music royalty collecting companies are seeking to squeeze as much information and money out of the broadcasters as possible. Most royalties are calculated based on the overall Time Spent Listening metric of your stream which means you're paying for commercials, talk breaks, liners and promos. You're even paying for songs that aren't represented by a given agency.

The Royalty Reporting program is designed to filter out all of the irelevant pieces of information in your stream so that you are reporting ONLY the pieces that should be. Our program takes your "As Played" music log and compares it against the actual log files from your content delivery provider to find out exactly who listened to what piece and for how long. With RR you pay only what you have to, and not a penny more.

Features:
  • Determine what country your listeners are coming from so that you can filter out specific nations.
  • Exclude any record labels that you have private agreements with
  • Don't count commercials or talk breaks as a part of your reporting. Only report the music.
  • Don't count the same person twice for per-performance reporting! If a listener disconnects during a piece and reconnects during the same piece, that is one performance, not two.
  • Exclude your IP addresses - very useful if you have a monitoring service making sure that your stream is up and running 24/7
  • Acurate TSL and Performance count per song
  • Don't pay for log or connection errors.
  • Outputs electronic reports for each of the royalty agencies you are reporting to

How to Participate:

RR is set to launch as a hosted service in the summer of 2007. If you would like to try the program before then, fill out our contact form and Chris Larsen will contact you about how you can get a sample report. We will require a copy of your As Played logs, either from your computer or from a database, as well as the actual server logs from your stream provider. Reports are typically returned within a week.

Of course we'll post more information as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience!
